Ibanez TS-10 - mod or leave?

I found an old TS-10 in a box full of stuff from when I was in college over the weekend. It works fine, and luckily I didn't have a battery in it or anything.

I have been using the Maxon OD-808 for years and really like it. I have not done any mods on the 808, but before that I was using a reissue TS-9. IMHO the Maxon was a little cleaner and a little more together.

Is there any way to make this TS-10 cleaner then the Maxon or would I just be throwing good money after bad and be better off just leaving this alone?

Does it have the original JRC 4558D chip?

    If so leave it alone!
