    Re: Herniated Disc

    Hey Laz,
Sorry to hear about your condition and wish you a speedy recovery. I know your pain very well. I suffered with a bad back for about 15 years. Back then they had no MRI or CT Scan. In the early 90's I finally ended up going for surgery. A CT scan showed I had three herniated discs. Ended up getting a one discectomy and a double laminectomy.

Hope all turns out well. Take care of yourself. See you soon.

Had back surgery about 7 years ago. Life changing. There is a Danish study that showed 40% of the back problems were an intestinal infection. Seriously. My scans didn't show squat. None less I got a fusion, I am better, but I wonder if constipation, maybe some kidney issue, ect could have really been the problem. So unless they honestly see a squished disk, look elsewhere. I feel for you. So many peeps are hosed before and after surgery. Whatever you do. LOSE WEIGHT. As much as you can. THEN when you look like someone from Somalia, and if your back still hurts, then consider surgery etc. PM me. I've gone through this.

    Re: Herniated Disc

I am currently on a serious diet -- want to loss 100 pounds.

My knees are shot as well.

Had 6 knee surgeries already -- last one in Sept (torn meniscus) -- surgery did not hold ... back to square one. Might need to go under the knife again for that one knee.
