I'm going totally stock with the Triptik. After doing some research it seemed foolish to mess with something that is already great. I love the fact that it's an EL34 with an amazing clean tone=perfect! Then channel two you can set on "classic rock" with a little less gain to cop those tones=perfect. Channel three you can set on "modern rock" with more gain to cop modern rock tones=perfect. Why mess with something that has it all? That's the conclusion I came to and thanks for the info you gave me Laz, it really helped.
I'm really stoked as I can add a Barber 1/2 Gainer pedal to the clean channel (love the Barber for clipping the clean) or maybe even a KLON and I can nail some of the modern country tones we do. I'm really excited about this amp. Seems like Alan knocked it out of the park on this one.
The JB 100 is an amazing amp too. I'm curious to see which one I pair with my Two Rock "Tone Dog" to gig with. I'm guessing a 50 watt Triptik may be more "practical", but who the heck cares about practical? LOL

Are you getting stocked or are you having alan add some "tweaks" to it?

    Talking Pictures from today's gig

Outdoor festival -- we were the only band playing.

    PA was pushing 22,000 watts

    Easily over 1,000 folks attending

and best of all -- they supplied us with outdoor air conditioning to keep cool while playing

Here is the air conditioning unit (we have a couple of them)

Here is my setup -- Carol-Ann OD2r running through a 22,000 Watt PA

Nice gig Laz. Gotta love those outdoor gigs when there is a good showing!
No Triptik yet. Alan is sending the OD3's to the dealers as we speak. Looks like the Triptiks are next. I'm torn as I love the JB so much but there is something about a 50 watt Triptik that really speaks to the rocker in me. I go back and forth on a daily basis as I really want an OD3r grab and go 6v6 combo for practice and such...

    gig was great.

Felt like a rock star (an old fat one )

I am done with amps -- OD2r is the end all for me.

If I get anything else in the amp department ... it will be more of a "GAS" thing than a need thing.

For gigging -- it will be hard for something to replace my OD2r ----- love that freakin' amp.

Stop Laz, you are not helping me! LOL I'm torn between a Triptik and an OD3r... In the end I'll just buy one of each so I guess all will be ok!

truth be told -- it is the right amp for me and the music I play.

Might not work for somebody else --- but truth be told (again) -- I can't so it would not.

    Great piece of musical engineering.

I always mention this --- J.T. is the one that talked me into buying one.

First time I am actually glad somebody talked me into buying amp!
