    Re: Amplified Nation Amps

I wouldn't say any of the "AN" amps are really in the Fender Twin camp. The first thing that came to mind when you mentioned D-style/Fender Twin types of cleans, was the RedPlate TruVerb. The Wonderland has a big, fat, punchy, tight, warm, tone/feel........yet manages to be clear and articulate at the same time. Kind of like a big, fat, Super Reverb. The Prime Minister has a much softer, stringy, lighter, fluffy, tone and feel.......less body to the notes. Both absolutely stunning in their own way, but neither of them make me think Fender Twin. Also, my PM is a 50w Dual Rectified version, and the Dirty Wonderland is 100w SS......but even if the PM was 100w SS rectified, I think these basic differences would be present.

Not interested in switchblade type of amps (Dumble/tweed/Marshall/whatever flavor channel etc) -- they just do not work for me ... been there done that.

So far .... Glaswerks seems to make the best production amps (for my particular needs) -- that can be voiced with a big fender clean channel and whatever Dumble voicing you want on the OD channel.

The TruVerb is a one channel, pure Blackface, 100w tone machine.......No Marshall, Tweed.......etc. I felt the same way as you, which is why I went with the TruVerb. ,

    Re: Amplified Nation Amps

I was thinking of the RP

If I was going to go back to a one channel amp -- I would simply get another vintage BF Twin.

I gigged with a late 60's one for many many years. Nothing beats a vintage BF twin -- in my book. However the weight was a bit too much to haul around every week to gigs (at least for me) - I have serious back issues.

My back feels the 20 plus pound difference between my old twin and my Glassworks Zingaro .... besides I like having that D style OD.

I might just end up getting a second Zingaro -- I don't know yet.

Nice! You won't be disappointed! People from Jersey just have very good taste in amps. Another great thing is that for you and I, it's only 1 day shipping to and from Taylor. So if you want him to make a minor change in any way.......like I had him change my head shell......it's quick, relatively inexpensive, and easy, with little exposure to shipping damage.
