I have a similar Hummingbird to yours except mine is cherry. Does yours have the v neck on it?
Mine is Koa back and sides and has the slim profile "D" neck.

I hear you about the D41, I have a Guild D55 that I will be unloading soon as the Gibsons are getting all the play.

I have a 70's D-55 that was John Fogerty's (long story). GREAT guitar, but I don't play it much. It's so pretty that I'll hang onto it but I leave it up at my Dad's because he really likes it.

You can't really see but the truss rod cover is custom with a big fake diamond (at least I think it's fake!) that says JF.

That's my dad's J-45 that he bought when he was in college and taught me to play on.

    Here is my D-41

Those are some smokin' hot acoustics.

    Great story on the D55.

I have decided to hold on to my D55 for now. It is a great USA made rosewood dread and I need to spend more time with her.

Thinking about adding a Martin 000-28EC to the fold.

Love the short scale and glossy neck finish.

I have to say while I may not be the biggest EC fan I think he's great at making sig models! I really like that Martin you're talking about ditto his Strat!

The Acoustic EC is pretty top notch ... I really dug the couple I have played.

I have never played an EC Strat --- I need to check one out

He uses a boost as we'll as silent pickups correct?

If you have never played a Clapton Strat you really need to check one out. GC usually has one in stock. It is by far the most versatile guitar in Fender's lineup. As much as it's classic Strat it also covers a lot of ground with the boost.

Also, the pewter is the best color and the catalog shots don't do it justice IMHO.
