    Nylon String any opinions?

I'm thinking about picking up a Taylor nylon string for recording purposes. I have never played one but from what I hear the neck is more like a standard acoustic guitar and less like a classical, so that may be a benefit to someone like me whose classical experience is limited to Bill Leavit's Classical Studies that I did in college.

    Any thoughts?

I have a taylor NS-52CE . . . very nice, I highly recommend the Taylor nylon series. Still pretty wide neck, as already mentioned.

Thanks everyone! I ended up getting one, it's a lower end Taylor but it does what I need it to do and sounds and plays nice. Neck is a little wider then a regular acoustic but narrower then a traditional classical guitar.

    I'll post pics later on.

I've been Jonesing for a Taylor Nylon for some time... I see a 714CE-N in my future.
At first, they'll only dislike what you say, but the more correct you start sounding the more they'll dislike you. Criss Jami

The one I got is the 214e. I'm sure the more expensive ones are better but for what I need this one is doing the trick. I was a little dispointed it didn't come with a case, but the gig bag is kind of a halfway between a case and a gig bag. It's actually pretty nice.

The thing I'm really kind of mad about is it's made in Mexico. I had thought all of these were USA made. I don't have a problem with that really, but I wish they would tell you where guitars are made before you buy them.

I've tried several different kinds too and I've settled on GHS DD2300 La Classique strings. I really, really like the wound G.
